What You’ll Do as a Volunteer in Baguio

In-person
program

The Volunteer Alliance will take place in Baguio City, Cordillera Region, from February 7 to 25, 2026. Known as a center of education and Indigenous identity in northern Luzon, Baguio offers a dynamic environment for youth-led innovation.

Volunteer engagement

Each volunteer commits to one in-person week of intensive engagement, complemented by virtual onboarding sessions in the months leading up to deployment. This structure enables high-impact collaboration while remaining accessible to busy professionals.

Participant structure

The program brings together a diverse mix of local participants, including youth innovators leading grassroots projects, university students seeking to strengthen their digital and leadership skills, and Cordilleran Youth Center staff who are expanding their capacity to manage programs and mentor others.

Curriculum & tools

Workshops and mentoring will focus on building essential skills in project management, branding, storytelling, social media strategy, financial planning, AI for productivity, and cybersecurity.

Strategic impact

This program is not about one-off training, it's about building systems. By the end of the three weeks, participating youth and organizations will walk away with stronger operational workflows, digital assets, and practical skills they can replicate and scale.

Empowering Indigenous Youth Through Skills-Based Volunteering

Human-centered Design

We start by listening. Venture 2 Impact and the Cordilleran Youth Center co-create every element of the program with Indigenous youth and local partners. Through collaborative design rooted in cultural identity and lived realities, we respond to real barriers with context-driven solutions, not assumptions.

Skilled-based Volunteering

Each week, 10–13 professionals from global companies bring their expertise in project management, communications, finance, and digital tools. Volunteers deliver practical workshops and 1:1 mentorship sessions, ensuring local youth and CYC staff can immediately apply what they learn.

Peer Mentorship

One-on-one mentoring bridges global experience with local leadership. Volunteers work closely with youth innovators to strengthen operations, explore sustainable strategies, and elevate digital presence, fostering agency, confidence, and long-term resilience.

Workshops with Impact

Every session is co-designed with the Cordilleran Youth Center to align with community priorities. Topics include digital marketing, social media, financial literacy, storytelling, AI for productivity, and cybersecurity.
We embed Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) to track real-time progress and scale success.

Be Part of the Mission for 2026

In 2026, our goal is to deepen our impact in the Cordillera Region by supporting over 15 youth-led community initiatives with practical tools and strategic guidance. Throughout the program, we aim to deliver more than 20 interactive, co-designed workshops that respond directly to local needs. By expanding access to technical mentorship and strengthening the capabilities of young leaders and organizations, we’ll build a foundation for long-term, community-driven change. At the heart of this vision is a commitment to equity, fostering authentic partnerships between global volunteers and local changemakers that are rooted in mutual respect and shared learning.
